Merz also mentioned that Germany is taking precautions to protect German citizens in Israel, Iran, and the surrounding region. IDF spokesperson Brig. Gen. Efi Defferin stated that Israeli forces significantly damaged the Natanz nuclear site. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the initial strike as “very successful.”
