An air strike in Sana’a, Yemen, reportedly resulted in the death of Houthi Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi. This claim comes from The Times of Israel, referencing Yemen’s Al-Jumhuriya newspaper. The Israeli strike occurred on August 28th in Sana’a, targeting al-Rahawi’s apartment. Several of his associates were also reportedly killed in the attack.
Israeli officials believe that the attacks also resulted in the deaths of Houthi Defense Minister Mohammed al-Atifi and Chief of Staff Muhammad Abd al-Karim al-Ghamari. This followed a prior strike targeting 10 senior Houthi ministers, including the Defense Minister, who were gathered outside Sana’a to listen to a speech by group leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi.
