Following Israeli airstrikes on June 13th, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and his family reportedly sought refuge in bunkers. The strikes, which also took place in April and December 2024, targeted strategic locations within Iran. Brigadier General Mohammad Kazemi, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence chief, along with his deputy Hassan Mohaqiq, were confirmed casualties of the strikes. A third IRGC intelligence chief, Mohsen Bagheri, was also reportedly killed. The IDF stated the strikes aimed at destroying weapon manufacturing capabilities and targeted infrastructure belonging to the IRGC, its Quds Force, and Iran’s armed forces. Israel reportedly spared Khamenei on the initial night, providing a final chance to abandon the uranium enrichment program. Meanwhile, the latest Iranian ballistic missile attack resulted in eight injuries. In Haifa, one person was moderately injured, and six others sustained minor injuries. Another person was lightly injured in a southern town near Kiryat Gat, with additional individuals treated for acute anxiety.
