Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar has departed for a state visit to the United States. The trip will include key meetings with high-ranking US officials, including Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Marco Rubio, at Rubio’s invitation. This meeting, scheduled for Wednesday at the US State Department in Washington, marks the second encounter between the two. The first meeting occurred last February during the Secretary of State’s visit to Israel. Minister Sa’ar’s agenda also includes a meeting with US Homeland Security Secretary Christie Noam, whom he hosted in Israel in May following the tragic murders of Yaron Lishansky and Sarah Lynn Milgram, employees of the Israeli Embassy in Washington. Additionally, he will engage with the Conference of Presidents, which serves as an umbrella organization for Jewish organizations in the US, the AIPAC leadership, and will host a reception for Jewish community leaders and Christian friends of Israel.
