Jagvinder Singh Virk Calls Modi a Global ‘Sarpanch’ for Peaceful Unity

Virk described Modi’s role as that of a “sarpanch” – a village head who brings people together – noting that the prime minister succeeded in gathering presidents and prime ministers of 21 countries under a common pledge to cooperate.

“The initiative demonstrates India’s commitment to being a symbol of peace,” Virk said, adding that the prime minister’s diplomatic outreach aligns with India’s long‑standing principle of non‑alignment and strategic independence.
