Jaishankar and Bhutanese officials inaugurate hydro‑power project and mother‑child hospital

The Indian and Bhutanese delegations jointly laid the foundation stone for the 500‑kilowatt Lunana hydropower project in Gasa, marking a milestone in bilateral energy collaboration that began in 1967.

Later, in Mongar, they opened the Gyaltshuen Jetson Pema Mother & Child Hospital, a 65‑bed facility designed to improve maternal and child health services across eastern Bhutan.
