Jerusalem Briefing: Netanyahu Declares Iran's End Is Imminent

At a cabinet session in Jerusalem on September 6, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the end of Iran’s current government is near. Speaking ahead of the Rosh Hashanah observances, he said Tehran is battling for its very existence and that Israel stands ready to ensure its downfall.

He praised the intelligence and courage of Israel’s leaders and soldiers, citing recent achievements that have weakened Iran’s regional influence. Netanyahu said the United States partnership has helped keep nuclear threats at bay and has allowed Israel to strike decisive blows against Iranian proxies.

The premier warned that Iran knows the cost of miscalculation and that any aggression toward Israel would trigger an unimaginable retaliation. He reiterated that Israel remains the strongest power in the Middle East, warning enemies not to test its resolve.

"Our forces are active around the clock, clearing terrorist elements from Lebanon, Gaza, Judea and Samaria," Netanyahu added. He stressed that toppling the Iranian regime is the most important mission still to be completed, a goal that will reshape the Middle East’s political landscape.
