Authorities allocate $29.5m for Jiangxi disaster relief after landslides

The central government has earmarked 20 million yuan (about $29.5 million) from the national natural disaster relief fund to support emergency rescue and relief work in Jiangxi. The Ministry of Natural Resources downgraded the geological‑disaster alert from level IV to level III and dispatched specialist teams to the affected zones. The funding aims to provide food, medical aid and temporary shelter for thousands displaced by the landslides.
