The international book fair held in Baghdad, Iraq, saw the launch of a book titled ‘Palestinian Referendum.’ This book supports the proposal of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, which suggests holding a referendum to resolve the Palestinian issue. After the book’s launch, Khamenei stated that the idea of a referendum could be imposed on Israel.
The book emphasizes three key points: First, non-native residents need to return to their original countries. Second, all Palestinians should have voting rights, whether they are Muslim, Christian, or Jewish. Third, the struggle should continue until Israel bows down to the Palestinian people.
Khamenei’s words after the book launch, posted on social media X, stated that any plan regarding Palestine that is made without the consent of the Palestinians cannot succeed. The decision of who will govern there should also be made by the opinion of the Palestinian people. A referendum should seek the opinion of all Palestinians.
Khamenei believes that the opinion should also be taken from those who were forcibly removed from Palestine, regardless of whether they are Muslim, Christian, or Jewish. They should decide who will govern their country. The Palestinian people should continue their political and military struggle for their rights. If those protesting remain steadfast, this demand can be imposed on the Israeli government.
The book was also released in Arabic. The book was launched in the presence of Prof. Sayyed Jasim Al-Jazairi, Hamas’s Mohammad Al-Hafi, Iranian Deputy Ambassador Dr. Aziz Panah, former commander of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) Sheikh Abu Aqeel Al-Kazimi, Dr. Mohammad Akhghari, the father of martyr Ahmad Al-Muhanna, and the injured woman Asmahan Jumah from Gaza. The Arabic translation of the book was also released on Saturday.
