Shubham Shokeen Visa Fraud: Interpol has issued a silver notice at India’s request against Shubham Shaukeen, a former French embassy officer who is absconding in the case of visa fraud. After this notice of Interpol has been issued, Shubham is searching for 11 countries and is trying to find out his global properties.

Who is Shubham fond?
According to the report, Shubham Shauke was working as a personal visa and local law officer at the French Embassy. His main work was associated with visa process and administrative functions. According to the CBI, between September 2019 and May 2022, Shaukeen, along with others, cheated in issuing Schengen visas. He took a bribe ranging from every applicant from Rs 15 lakh to 45 lakh and issued visas based on fake documents.

It is alleged that in this scam, applicants from Punjab and Jammu were provided visas through fake letters, allegedly issued by a private company in Bengaluru. Through these visas, people went to Europe by claiming jobs in Port-La-Havare of France. The CBI says that Shaukeen bought six immovable properties of 7,760,500 Dirham (about Rs 15.73 crore) in Dubai with this illegal earnings.

Earlier blue notice was released
Earlier, the CBI had also issued a blue notice to search for Shubham Shaukeen. CBI is the nodal agency of interpol in India. In December 2022, the CBI registered a case against Shaukeen and his associate Aarti Mandal, who committed this fraud in the Embassy’s Visa Department. The investigation found several visa files missing, mostly associated with unemployed or low -risk applicants from Punjab. Since then, the agencies are trying to catch Shubham Shaukeen.
Interpol issues nine types of color-approved notices, each of which aims to get specific information from member countries around the world. For example, red color to detain a fugitive, blue color is to get additional information, black color is to identify unknown body and to search for yellow color missing persons.
Silver notice is a color-adjoining notice that was started by Interpol in January this year. Its purpose is to gather information about illegal properties around the world and find out.
