Kyrgyz National TV to Air Ten Chinese Productions Including ‘Letter from President Xi’

Beijing, Aug 27 – In a coordinated effort between China Media Group and Kyrgyz media regulators, ten high‑quality Chinese film and television productions are now airing on Kyrgyz National Television and the state broadcasting company. The package, unveiled during President Xi Jinping’s visit for the SCO summit, features works such as “Letter from President Xi,” “Red Pomegranate Restaurant,” and eight other critically acclaimed titles.

More than 100 participants – from senior officials of both governments to journalists and cultural scholars – attended the launch ceremony. Video greetings from CMG Director‑General Shan Haixiong underscored President Xi’s directive to strengthen innovation‑based collaboration while respecting each country’s core values.

Shan noted that the series will help Kyrgyz viewers better understand the principles of mutual respect and the contemporary narrative of China’s development. The broadcasts are slated to continue until the end of October, ensuring a prolonged period of cultural dialogue.
