Lindsey Graham Act Allows 100% Tariffs on Top Russian Oil Importers

Senator Katie Britt highlighted that the new law directs the president to impose the highest possible tariffs on the five biggest importers of Russian crude or gas, as well as on the top five jurisdictions that facilitate sanctions evasion. The act also extends secondary sanctions to Russian officials, oligarchs, their families, foreign nationals, Russian banks, and the shadow fleet that supports the war machine. Britt praised the bill as a clear signal that the United States stands united against any country funding Russia’s aggression in Ukraine.
