Modi Calls for Dialogue, Anti‑Terrorism Action at SCO Leaders’ Council

Prime Minister Modi opened his address by thanking President Sadyr Japarov for the warm hospitality extended to the Indian delegation. He described the 25th anniversary of the SCO as a pivotal moment to chart the next quarter‑century of cooperation.

Emphasising that dialogue and diplomacy are the only viable routes to resolve conflicts, Modi warned against any reliance on military solutions. He reiterated India’s stance that terrorism poses a grave threat to all humanity and must be dismantled in its entirety, without double standards.

The Prime Minister also underscored the strategic link between security in the Eurasian region and stability in Afghanistan, noting India’s ongoing developmental and humanitarian assistance to Kabul.

His speech concluded with a pledge to deepen connectivity, trade and innovation across SCO nations while respecting each country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
