Elon Musk, the billionaire, deleted a tweet that implicated former U.S. President Donald Trump in the Jeffrey Epstein files. This action followed a public disagreement between Musk and Trump, initiated by Musk’s claim that Trump’s name in the Epstein files was the reason for their delayed release.
Musk previously resigned from his role as a special government employee in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), citing his desire to concentrate on his business ventures.
Reportedly, Musk’s discontent stemmed from Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill.’
Musk had posted on X, “Donald Trump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!” Subsequently, he removed the post.
Later, Musk hinted at a possible truce in response to a post by American Fund Manager Bill Ackman. Ackman stated, “I support @realDonaldTrump and @elonmusk and they should make peace for the benefit of our great country. We are much stronger together than apart.” Musk responded, “You’s are not wrong.”
Trump and Musk clashed over recent legislation, leading to sharp criticisms and accusations on social media platforms.
This dispute escalated when Musk made explosive allegations concerning Trump’s ties to the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, marking a significant intensification of their personal conflict. The feud between the two men got nastier, less than a week after Musk officially left his position spearheading the quasi-official Department of Government Efficiency.
US Vice President JD Vance publicly supported Trump during the public dispute.
Vance posted on X, “President Trump has done more than any person in my lifetime to earn the trust of the movement he leads. I’m proud to stand beside him.”
