Nepal‑China Border Area Hit Hard as Flash Flood Swallows Infrastructure

The flash flood that rippled through Nepal’s Bhote Koshi river on August 27 caused extensive damage along the border with China, destroying nine hydro‑electric projects, more than 19 bridges, and numerous commercial banks.
