Nepal’s Flood Crisis: 114 Indians Among 187 Tourists Rescued

The massive flood event that hit Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and Gorkha districts has prompted a coordinated response involving the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, the Nepal Tourism Board, tourism police and regional disaster agencies. As of 1:30 p.m. on August 29, 184 tourists had been rescued, three remained in contact with officials and 420 could not yet be located. The Indian embassy is closely tracking the disaster, with a dedicated task force ready to dispatch additional resources if needed.
