Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Iran’s leadership views former US President Donald Trump as a major obstacle to its nuclear ambitions and is actively plotting to assassinate him. Netanyahu, speaking on Sunday, described Trump as “enemy number one” for Iran, citing his decisive leadership and rejection of weak negotiations that would have allowed Iran to enrich uranium. Netanyahu emphasized Trump’s actions, including withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal and eliminating Qasem Soleimani, as key factors in Iran’s hostility. He also mentioned a personal experience, where a missile was fired towards his home. Netanyahu portrayed Israel as facing an “imminent threat” of nuclear destruction and reiterated that his country is acting to protect itself and the world from Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs. He believes that Israel’s actions have significantly hindered the Iranian nuclear program.
