Northwest Sydney Shooting Wounds 11‑Year‑Old Boy, Three Arrested

Police in the north‑west suburbs of Sydney responded to a shooting incident on Monday evening, around 5 p.m., in a detached house in the Norwest area. An 11‑year‑old boy was struck in the face and neck by a bullet and was immediately attended to by ambulance paramedics before being rushed to hospital in serious condition. Five other occupants were present at the time of the attack. Three young men, each 18 years old, were taken into custody at the scene. Two of the suspects were later released pending further inquiries, while the third faces charges for serious offences that include concealment of a weapon. Superintendent Naomi Moore stressed that investigators are still tracing the firearm used and do not suspect a link to organised crime.
