Poland has heightened its military readiness following reports of potential Russian drone incursions into its airspace. The alert was triggered by a message from the Ukrainian air force, relayed via Telegram, suggesting that Russian drones were moving westward and could pose a threat to Polish territory. In response, Poland has deployed fighter jets, activated ground-based air defense systems, and put radar reconnaissance systems on high alert.
According to initial reports, the Ukrainian air force identified the drones as potentially targeting the Polish border region of Zamosc. Simultaneously, Ukrainian media sources reported that at least one drone was observed heading towards the city of Rzeszow in southeastern Poland. However, the exact number of drones that may have entered Polish airspace remains unconfirmed. Military operations are underway, with Polish and allied aircraft patrolling the skies.
