Prime Minister Modi urges peace in Ukraine during Bishkek meeting

Bishkek – Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the press after his bilateral session with President Vladimir Putin, emphasizing the need for a swift end to hostilities in Ukraine. Modi stated, "Each day of war pushes humanity backward, while every step toward peace brings new hope."

He reiterated India’s consistent support for all peace initiatives and called for a diplomatic settlement that respects the sovereignty of nations. The Prime Minister also reminded that both the lands of Mahatma Gandhi and the Buddha share a common message – the path of peace.
