Prime Minister Showcases Preparations for BRICS 2026 in New Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media on Thursday to display the progress made at the India Pavilion ahead of the 18th BRICS summit. The video clip highlighted the pavilion’s lighting, floral arrangements and cultural displays, concluding with the caption, "All set for BRICS 2026!"

The summit, slated for September 12‑13, will convene leaders from Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates, together with partner countries from across the globe. The event’s central theme—"Strength, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability"—mirrors the Indian government’s commitment to a people‑centric development model.

High‑profile attendees expected include President Vladimir Putin, President Xi Jinping, President Cyril Ramaphosa, UN Secretary‑General António Guterres and President Masoud Pezeshkian. Discussions will centre on shared priorities such as green technology, digital transformation and coordinated action on global challenges.

India, a founding member of BRICS, will host the summit for the fourth time, coinciding with the group’s 20‑year milestone, and aims to use the platform to deepen multilateral ties and promote sustainable growth.
