All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen leader Imran has said that West Bengal has the highest Waqf land. Imran claimed that 8000 Waqf land has been encroached, they are also included in the land of Eden Gardens. He has also said that there is 105 property of Waqf in Park Street in Kolkata. 2,595 acres of land in Kolkata is of Waqf.

The statement of Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and West Bengal Minister Firhad Hakim has come out on this matter. He has targeted AIMIM, a leader Imran Solanki and termed his statement as absurd. Hakim said that AIMIM is a party in Bengal, which has no importance in the state and the party which has no basis, is making absurd claim. He said that it is completely wrong to tell Eden Gardens to tell the property of Waqf.
