The death of 46-year-old French streamer Raphael Graven, also known online as Jean Pormanove, is causing an uproar in France. Graven passed away during a livestream on Monday. Initially, the situation appeared to be a case of online trolling and broadcast humiliation, but now the case has taken a new turn. The autopsy revealed no signs of violence, with no injury marks on his body. Police believe that Graven’s death may have been due to a medical condition or drug use. Investigators stated that Graven was undergoing treatment for a thyroid condition and also had heart problems. In an interview, the Digital Minister of AI and digital technology mentioned that Graven had expressed a desire for the abuse to stop before his death during the live stream, which was witnessed by many. Reports indicate that Graven endured severe physical violence and sleep deprivation. Fans were concerned when they saw him unconscious during the livestream, prompting the police to find him dead at his home. One viewer allegedly saw someone throw a water bottle at him while he was unresponsive. According to French newspaper Le Monde, Graven was involved in online content involving humiliation and violence, and had faced ongoing abuse and public shaming in recent months.
