To meet Nepal’s urgent requirements, the CMA has fortified the international service channel for Fengyun satellites. The system now merges real‑time Fengyun products—such as rapid‑scan imaging and satellite‑based lightning detection—directly with Nepal’s ground‑based weather networks.

The integrated platform delivers continuous, high‑frequency updates on precipitation intensity, cloud motion, and electrical storm activity, enabling disaster‑response teams to plan evacuations, allocate resources, and issue precise warnings during the critical aftermath of the landslide.
