In a significant escalation, Russia launched a large-scale aerial assault on Kyiv and surrounding regions, employing a staggering 741 weapons. This included 728 drones, seven Iskander-K cruise missiles, and six Kinzhal missiles, marking one of the most extensive attacks since the start of the conflict in 2022. Ukrainian defenses managed to neutralize 718 threats, according to official reports. However, the attacks resulted in casualties and widespread damage across multiple areas, including Lutsk, where fires erupted, and several other regions. Authorities reported at least two fatalities and over a dozen injuries. The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) called for intensified sanctions on Russian oil, highlighting the ongoing need to support Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
