In the most devastating air assault since the war’s onset, Russia unleashed a barrage of 477 drones and 60 missiles against Ukraine. This extensive overnight attack resulted in the death of a Ukrainian F-16 pilot, identified as Maksym Ustymenko, who was defending against the assault. Ukraine reported that their forces successfully downed 211 drones and 38 missiles. The strikes caused casualties, including at least three civilian deaths, and widespread injuries across several regions, including Lviv, Poltava, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy, and Ivano-Frankivsk. President Zelensky has stated that the attacks will continue as long as Russia has the capacity to launch them, and called for increased pressure on Russia.
