Prince Alwaleed bin Khaled bin Talal, known as the ‘Sleeping Prince,’ has passed away at the age of 36. He had been on life support for almost two decades following a severe car accident in London in 2005. The accident, which occurred when he was only 15, resulted in significant brain damage and internal bleeding, leading to a coma. Despite continuous medical care at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh and the efforts of doctors from America and Spain, he never regained full consciousness. His father, Prince Khaled bin Talal, steadfastly maintained his son’s life support, believing in the divine power over life and death. Prince Alwaleed was a member of the Saudi Royal Family and the eldest son of Prince Khaled bin Talal Al Saud, and nephew of billionaire businessman Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. Funeral prayers were scheduled to take place at the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh.
