Strategic Partnership Deepens as India and Uzbekistan Ink Multiple MoUs

India and Uzbekistan elevated ties to a strategic partnership with eleven MoUs covering culture, mines, tourism, environment, finance and higher education, and unveiled five new programmes: cultural exchange (2026‑30), joint tourism (2026‑28), US$1 million afforestation for the Aral Sea, a 100‑student Lal Bahadur Shastri Hindi scholarship, and an ICCR‑funded Sanskrit chair at the local university.
