Sunak and Goyal Discuss Future of India‑UK Tech Collaboration
During a meeting at the Indian capital, former prime minister of the United Kingdom Rishi Sunak and commerce minister Piyush Goyal explored possibilities for joint technology initiatives. The conversation highlighted areas such as digital infrastructure, clean energy solutions and artificial intelligence research.
Both officials agreed that aligning regulatory frameworks and investing in talent exchange programs would accelerate progress. Sunak noted that British firms are keen to partner with Indian tech companies to scale innovative products globally.
The discussion was an extension of Sunak’s earlier encounter with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where the two leaders praised the growing depth of India‑UK relations and celebrated Modi’s 25‑year milestone in public office.
