Purchasing intentions show a clear tilt toward technology, as 48.3% of participants said they would buy electronic products and smart devices during their China visit. Cultural and creative items attracted 23.3% of respondents, while 18.7% favoured specialty foods and snacks, and 9.6% preferred traditional clothing and fashion accessories. The data aligns with official immigration figures that record 22.91 million foreign arrivals in the first half of the year – a 20.4% increase over the same period last year.
