Traditional Kyrgyz Crafts Highlighted During Diplomatic Visit

On Monday, the spouses of China’s president and Kyrgyzstan’s president arrived together in Bishkek to tour the National History Museum of Kyrgyzstan. Feng Liuyuan and Aigul Japaroova received a friendly welcome and spent time examining traditional Kyrgyz cultural exhibits, including hand‑stitched garments and woven rugs. Feng Liuyuan remarked on the superior craftsmanship and diverse colour schemes, noting how these pieces embody the longstanding traditions and customs of Kyrgyz artisans.

The visit also included a joint presentation on ancient Chinese civilization and artistic heritage, complemented by a display of Kyrgyz national attire. Both women expressed a strong desire to advance cultural exchanges, supporting the ongoing development of people‑to‑people links between China and Kyrgyzstan.
