US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are likely to have a meeting on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in The Hague. A source within the Ukrainian President’s office confirmed the news. Although Ukraine is a key topic in recent summits, Zelenskyy has not been invited to the main session of NATO members. Andriy Yermak, a top aide to Zelenskyy, has stated he was in contact with US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, regarding preparations for the upcoming meeting. Yermak shared on X that he had a productive conversation with Rubio, thanking him for their recent discussion in Washington and for his support. Concurrently, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed reservations about Zelenskyy’s authority to sign a treaty but indicated openness to peace talks.
