Following the imposition of a 25% tariff and additional penalties on Indian imports, former US President Donald Trump revealed a new trade agreement with Pakistan. The deal focuses on collaborative efforts to develop Pakistan’s oil reserves. Trump expressed a speculative view that Pakistan might eventually sell oil to India. He also noted that several countries are offering tariff reductions to the US and stated that a comprehensive report will be released soon. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry responded by stating that the government is reviewing the implications and will prioritize national interests.
