Former US President Donald Trump has refuted reports alleging his administration contemplated a $30 billion agreement with Iran to develop non-military nuclear facilities. In a social media post, Trump dismissed the reports as a ‘ridiculous idea’ and accused the ‘Fake News Media’ of spreading misinformation. Furthermore, Trump commented on the situation in Iran, mentioning the destruction of nuclear sites and claiming to have prevented a major attack by Israel on Tehran during the conflict. He asserted that he ‘saved’ the Iranian Supreme Leader from harm and that Iran must re-enter the global order. Trump’s statements followed reports concerning Operation Midnight Hammer, a US operation targeting Iranian nuclear sites.
