Trump Says Iran Must Choose Reconstruction or War, Cites Operation Epic Fury

Donald Trump told the United Nations that Iran faces a stark crossroads: accept a comprehensive nuclear deal and embark on a path of reconstruction, or confront a renewed U.S. military campaign. He referenced "Operation Epic Fury," claiming it had crippled Iran’s navy, air force, radar networks, and most of its missile and drone production capabilities.

According to Trump, the only thing still untouched by the operation is inflation, which he said has surged beyond 300 percent in Iran, wreaking havoc on the population. He highlighted that, since hostilities began, the U.S. Navy has moved more than one billion barrels of oil through the Hormuz Strait, surpassing any previous volume.

Addressing rumors of ammunition shortages, Trump dismissed the notion, asserting that the United States holds more ammunition than it can use and is rapidly replenishing its stockpiles at an unprecedented pace.

He urged the UN Security Council to adopt a resolution condemning Iran’s alleged violations of the cease‑fire that was meant to foster nuclear talks, and thanked the council for supporting a proposal that denounces attacks on merchant vessels.
