President Donald Trump expressed optimism regarding a potential peace agreement for Gaza, citing a favorable response to the proposal. He indicated that the plan to end the ongoing conflict has been well-received, emphasizing the widespread desire to end the war. Trump mentioned that he anticipates soon securing support from Israel. In a telephone interview, Trump stated that he believes Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also supports the deal. Trump and Netanyahu are scheduled to meet at the White House. Preparatory discussions took place between US special envoy Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and Netanyahu in New York before the meeting. The meeting follows Trump’s unveiling of a 21-point plan aimed at resolving the conflict in the Palestinian territory, presented during discussions with Arab and Muslim leaders at the United Nations General Assembly.
