A 23-year-old Ukrainian woman, Iryna Zaruutsk, was fatally stabbed on a train in the United States. The attack, captured on CCTV, occurred on the Lynx Blue Line in Charlotte, North Carolina. Zaruutsk was attacked by 34-year-old Decarlos Brown Jr., who had been sitting behind her before the assault. Brown Jr. approached her and stabbed her multiple times, at least once in the neck. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Brown fled the scene but was later apprehended by police. Police recovered the weapon, a knife, near the platform at the next station. Brown has a history of criminal offenses, including robbery with a dangerous weapon. Authorities are investigating the motive behind the attack.
