UN General Assembly Debate Highlights India's Focus on Reform, Security

During the high‑level debate, India called for a larger role for countries that contribute troops and police to UN missions. It urged that before any mandate is set or reviewed, nations sending personnel should have an institutional opportunity to voice their views. The Indian delegation also linked climate action, equitable transition, pandemic preparedness, the right to development, rising sea levels and nuclear disarmament to the broader reform agenda.
