The US Department of State has issued a worldwide travel alert for American citizens due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran. The alert, released on Monday, highlights disruptions to travel and intermittent airspace closures across the Middle East. The Department also expressed concern about possible demonstrations targeting US citizens and interests abroad. In light of these developments, the Department of State advises US citizens to exercise increased caution. The State Department’s warning references the potential for protests against US citizens and assets globally, urging travelers to carefully review travel advisories, country-specific information, and security alerts before planning any trips. Earlier, on June 19, the US Embassy instructed all government employees and their families in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza to remain in their designated shelters until further notice, citing the current security situation stemming from the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict. The directive also stated that the Department is preparing for various scenarios to assist private US citizens who wish to depart from Israel.
