A distressing video circulating online depicts an Indian student being handcuffed and pinned to the ground by US authorities at Newark Liberty International Airport. The student, reportedly held by multiple officials with knees on his back, was subsequently deported. The footage, initially shared by Indian-American entrepreneur Kunal Jain on X, sparked widespread outrage. Jain’s post, directed towards the Indian Embassy, expressed his distress at witnessing the incident, describing it as a ‘human tragedy.’ The Indian Embassy in New York responded, stating they were in contact with local authorities and committed to the welfare of Indian nationals. According to Jain, the student was shouting, ‘I am not crazy.’ He further stated that authorities did not allow him to help translate, and the student was speaking in Haryanvi. The witness said the student was crying, ‘I am not crazy, they are making me crazy. I am not crazy, they are proving me crazy.’
