YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia has now appealed to the Supreme Court to get relief from the FIR registered in many states. He is accused of making some obscene comments at Raina’s program India’s Got Latent, due to which the Assam Police sent him summons. Allahabadia’s lawyer Abhinavchandrachud filed a petition in the Supreme Court regarding the matter and demanded a early hearing. However, the bench of Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar refused to hear immediately, but ordered the case to be listed soon.

What happened in Ranveer Allahabadia case?
In this case, a case has been registered against Ranveer Allahabadia under Section 79 of the Indian Justice Code 2023, which considers the work done through words, gestures or any other means that hurts the dignity of a woman. Apart from this, he has also been accused of dissolving the privacy of the woman. In the Supreme Court, Abhinav Chandrachud said that the summons of the Assam Police is unfair and Allahabadia should be given immediate relief.
