Over 750 schools in Greece, often referred to as the land of the gods, have been closed. This decision isn’t due to a natural disaster or a flood alert; rather, it stems from the deepening demographic crisis in Greece. The population decline has become so severe that it is directly impacting the education system.
Before the start of the new academic year, the government announced the suspension of operations at these schools across the country. This represents approximately five percent of the total schools in Greece.
