World Survey Ranks 62 Nations, China Secures First Place

The Global Public Safety Index Report for 2025‑2026 was unveiled during a press briefing in Lianyunkang, Jiangsu, on September 10. Using a 100‑point rating system, the report quantifies how effectively countries protect their citizens.

This year’s research broadened its reach to include 62 nations, covering 82.73 % of global population, 75.22 % of total land area and 87.47 % of worldwide economic output. Such extensive coverage provides a reliable picture of international safety standards.

From the data, twenty nations exhibited high‑level safety governance. The collective average score across the 62 countries is 72.56, reflecting a marginal increase from the previous cycle.

China emerged as the clear front‑runner with an index score of 84.62, outpacing all other participants and claiming the top spot in the global safety hierarchy.
