China’s state news agency Xinhua announced on September 7 the creation of a preparatory committee to spearhead the Asia‑Pacific Media Partnership Program. The move comes after the summit’s opening ceremony on September 5 in Shanchen, which gathered top regional media outlets and research institutes. Xinhua aims to channel cooperation into four strategic areas: elite dialogue sessions, coordinated communication projects, cutting‑edge technology experiments, and concrete collaborative ventures. The committee comprises sixteen founding members, with eight Chinese institutions already exchanging documentation that outlines the expected results of cross‑border media collaborations.
