Mohammad Yunus, a key advisor from Bangladesh, has voiced support for the Rohingya community during the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Yunus, who had previously remained silent on the violence against minorities in Bangladesh following the coup, is now advocating for justice for the Rohingya minority in Myanmar.
Speaking at the UN, Yunus stated that the marginalization of the Rohingya cannot continue. He emphasized the need to address the discriminatory policies and actions that have led to the current situation, suggesting that a full national political solution is not a prerequisite for improvement.
