Zelensky Presses UN for Russia Pressure

Speaking ahead of the United Nations General Assembly, President Zelensky urged member states to intensify sanctions and diplomatic pressure on Russia. He argued that sustained economic restrictions are the most effective tool to compel Moscow to cease its hostilities. Zelensky also highlighted the need for coordinated humanitarian aid and stressed that the war’s ripple effects are already destabilising global security. He called on world leaders to prioritize peace talks and collective action at the UN forum.
