So far, 11 hundred quintals of cow dung have been purchased in Dangra Gowthan
The ‘Godhan Nyaya Yojana’ has been launched by the state government to strengthen the rural economy and promote cow rearing and animal husbandry. This scheme is proving to be a boon for farmers and livestock farmers. Under the government’s ‘Godan Nyaya Yojana’, cow dung is being purchased at the rate of Rs. 2 per kg daily by the Gowthan Committee in village Dangra of Bhandardigi, Gram Panchayat of Durgukondal, Block Development. Gauthan Samiti president Ashok Kumar Naretti said that farmers and livestock farmers are reaching the village to sell cow dung every day and strengthen their economic condition. So far 1100 quintal dung has been purchased by the committee. Dung is being purchased at the rate of Rs. 2 per kg in Gothan by villagers and cattle ranchers by the Chairman and members of the Gothan Committee. At the same time, the government is taking advantage of this ambitious scheme by increasing its income. The state government’s ‘Godhan Nyaya Yojana’ is showing much enthusiasm among the cattle rearers and farmers of the district.
