Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Mrs. Anila Bhendia today participated in the program ‘Bright India – Bright Future’ under Amrit Mahotsav at Janpad Panchayat Daundi in Balod district. Parliamentary Secretary and Gundardehi MLA Mr. Kunwar Singh Nishad were also present on the occasion. The program started with the worship of Chhattisgarh Mahtari and Raj Geet. Addressing the program, Minister Smt. Bhendia said that electric energy is one of the important needs of the present, without which daily life cannot be imagined. Electricity energy is an essential need for everything from home to big factories. He said that electrical energy should be used only according to the need and should not be used unnecessarily. Parliamentary Secretary Shri Nishad also talked about making good use of electric energy and saving energy in his address. Chief Executive Engineer of Electricity Department Shri T.L. Sahare explained in detail the plans of the Chhattisgarh government related to the electricity department. In the program, through Chhattisgarh folk songs and folk dance and street plays, awareness was made for saving electricity. LED bulbs were distributed by the guests to the eligible beneficiaries.
