In serious diseases, poor and needy families find it difficult to bear the cost of treatment, in such a situation, efforts are being made by the state government to provide quality health facilities to every citizen. By reaching inaccessible areas including remote Naxal affected areas, the team of Health Department is busy in making health facilities accessible to every last person. As a result of the hard work of the officers and employees of the health department in the Naxal-affected area of Sukma, health ID cards have been prepared for the members of each family in 11 villages. Through health card, now villagers will be able to avail free treatment facility as per eligibility in government or private hospitals registered under other health schemes including Dr. Khubchand Baghel Health Assistance Scheme, Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme. District Program Coordinator Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana Shri Dipesh Diwan informed that 100 percent Ayushman cards have been prepared from Sukma block in Kosabander, Chhindgarh villages, Badegurbe, Bhandaras, Bodaras, Chipurpal, Chhotegurbe, Chuapal and 4 villages of Konta block, Ramaram, Singanmadgu, Venkatpal and Venkatapuram villages. Along with this, Ayushman card has been made for more than 90 percent of the villagers in 6 Sukma, 14 Chhindgarh and 1 Konta village. Under the Bharat Yojana, medical facilities up to five lakh rupees per year to the families of Antyodaya ration card holders and 50 thousand to other ration card holder families will be provided in any registered private and government hospital in the state. At the same time, for the identified rare diseases under the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme, the eligible families of the state are provided treatment at the state level and outside the state and registered under the scheme in super-specialty and multi-specialty hospitals up to a maximum of Rs.
