The crime anthology series True Detective is back with a new instalment titled True Detective: Night Country. The filming for the series will reportedly take place over a period of nine months in Iceland.
The snowy landscape of Iceland will double for Alaska in the series. With a budget of over $64.8 million, the series production is set to be the largest cultural foreign investment for Iceland.
The series was originally created by writer/director Nic Pizzolatto for HBO. The first season featured Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in the leads and was directed by No Time to Die fame Cary Joji Fukunaga.
